The layer 1 blockchains of the crypto ecosystem are not the only ones who are working towards a better Web3 experience, the layer 2 blockchains are working at more inclusive decentralized experience for the community as well. The prime example for the same has been Polygon, at a large scale. However, the infamous meme token inspired Shibarium Beta has started to work on its Roadmap, as per the announcement on March 12, 2023.

What is Shibarium?
Shibarium is a layer 2 blockchain network that allows any user on the network to not only build Dapps, but also integrate them into IRL businesses, and power projects with it. The network is a low cost one. It burns Shib tokens in the process of giving a path to build Dapps. The network is being adjusted for a better user experience as the beta test kick starts over the next few months. The mainnet is expected to be released in the early Q2 of 2023.

NOWNodes, after showing excitement about its work in progress for the Shibarium roadmap, said that they will be opening a prerelease form for users to sign up for early access to Shibarium mainnet nodes as soon as the protocol gets launched. The developers at NOWNodes has published a road map which defines the integration strategy of the developers for the Layer 2 solution.
The developers of Shibarium is anticipating the layer 2 network to go through three phases of release. They are;
- beta,
- mainnet development
- mainnet release.

As the first road map step for Shibarium, NOWNodes said that internal tests will be carried out throughout the beta phase for a smoother transition of the network, as it gets ready for its mainnet release.

As per reports, the network has made it clear that the network transactions will be the way to determine how the SHIB burns will take place. As per the team, a running chart for burned SHIB will be made available on the burn portal as part of the Shibarium Network’s beta testing.
