TRON traded near $0.3462 on 30 October 2026, consolidating after an abrupt single-hour rally late on 29 October lifted spot prices by more than 8% to an interim peak of $0.3590.
The rapid move extended intraday highs to touch nearly $0.37 before pulling back roughly 2%, bringing the network’s circulating market capitalization to approximately $32.9 billion. While the TRON (TRX) price surge developed without a concurrent project disclosure, secondary trading volume expanded 363% to surpass $2.15 billion, driven by concentrated short liquidations across major perpetual futures venues against the backdrop of record third-quarter network settlement activity.
How TRX Surged 8% in One Hour
Most of TRX’s gain came in a single hour on October 29. TRX rose from $0.3314 to $0.359, or 8.3%, in the hour to 22:05 UTC, TokenPost reported, citing spot prices on a major exchange. During that hour, about $940,000 of bets against TRX on three large exchanges were forcibly closed, compared with about $150,000 of bets on a rise. TRX went on to touch nearly $0.37 before easing back.
Those forced closures add up to about $1.1 million, a small sum for a coin with a $33 billion market cap. TRX’s 24-hour trading volume rose 363% to $2.15 billion after the jump, about 6.4% of its market cap at the time.

TRON’s Network Use Grew in the Third Quarter
TRON settled $2.21 trillion in stablecoin transfers in the third quarter, according to the TRON DAO’s quarterly report. Transactions on the network reached 1.10 billion, up 33.7% from a year earlier, and monthly active addresses averaged about 18 million.
TRON founder Justin Sun said at the Token2049 conference in October that TRON plans to launch tokenized stocks in the fourth quarter of 2026, and no date or details have followed. Nasdaq-listed Tron Inc held more than 721 million TRX as of October 29 and has kept adding to that balance, according to crypto news outlet ChainCatcher. None of these developments came on October 29, the day of the jump.
What TRX Traders Should Know About Its Supply
All 95.02 billion tokens in existence are in active circulation. TRON operates without a fixed maximum supply ceiling, balancing daily Proof-of-Stake block rewards against transaction fee burns. On-chain analysis indicates that between 1 July and 16 October 2026, protocol fee burns covered roughly 65% of block reward creation, resulting in net inflation of 148.6 million TRX over the period. Traders should monitor whether fee burns from on-chain transactions outpace base issuance as broader activity expands.
CryptoSlate found that TRX supply rose on every day from July 1 to October 16, adding a net 148.6 million TRX, because burns offset only about 65% of new issuance over that period.
