Ruby raises $7.3M to give users better privacy and control over data
Ruby protocol a first layer privacy blockchain has raised $7.3 million in a funding round. Some of the big names that were included in the investor’s list were Digital Finance Group, D1 ventures, Signum Capital, DWeb3 capital, and more.
The angel investors were Ocean Protocol founder and board member, Bruce Pon. While the entire concept of Web3 is based on decentralization, users must find a way to control as well as protect their data for various different reasons. Ruby has designed a layer 1 smart contract platform that shall enable users to control their on-chain information.

Visa hiring college students to develop an in-house crypto team
Visa (V) is looking for undergraduate students to apply to its crypto development program while the company continues to build an in-house crypto talent. The Visa crypto development program is an 18-month development experience where the team will be designed such that it shall be fully fluent in crypto. The program supports an entry-level pipeline of talent who shall have deep subject matter expertise around the crypto space.
Students who shall be hired through the same will rotate on teams including crypto solutions, Digital partnerships as well as crypto products and shall build expertise over non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
