LG Electronics Adds Blockchain & Crypto As New Areas of Business
LG added two unique crypto-related objectives during its annual general meeting, according to a local South Korean news report. The goals include “the creation and distribution of blockchain-based technologies” as well as “the sale and brokerage of cryptocurrencies,” leading to speculation that LG may launch a cryptocurrency exchange.
When Bithumb CEO Heo Baek-young revealed that the exchange was collaborating with “a large enterprise” to build a nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace earlier this year, rumors about LG creating a crypto-related marketplace began to circulate.

Top Israeli Bank To Accept BTC And ETH Trading
Leumi Bank’s digital platform, Pepper Invest, has teamed with Paxos, a blockchain infrastructure provider, to provide crypto trading services. The new service allows Pepper Invest clients to purchase, sell, and hold cryptocurrency.
Before introducing support for other crypto assets, the move will only support BTC and ETH. According to the report, the minimum transaction amount for cryptocurrency was established at roughly $15.50 (50 shekels). The new strategy is subject to regulatory approval.

Grayscale Launches Fund Holding Ethereum Alternatives
According to Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein, the product allows investors to participate in a range of new platforms rather than depending on one, to become the major decentralized activity venue.
To track the assets, the fund employs a CoinDesk indices index, with the portfolio’s holdings weighted by market capitalization. Cardano and Solana are the fund’s two biggest assets, accounting for more than 24% of the total.
Avalanche and Polkadot are the next two, each accounting for 16 percent of the total. Because Grayscale anticipates many investors to be familiar with Ethereum, the fund excludes it.
