Avalanche Announces New ‘Core’ Wallet At Avax Summit
Avalanche has announced the launch of its own wallet app, Core, as well as the addition of Bitcoin bridging functionality. Both the features are aimed at improving the user experience and bringing more assets into the Avalanche ecosystem.
Users of the Core wallet will be able to interact directly with decentralized applications (dapps) on the Avalanche blockchain, thanks to native Avalanche bridging functionality. Bridges are applications that enable users to move assets from one blockchain to another.

Decentraland’s First-Ever Metaverse Fashion Week
Decentraland, a virtual reality platform, has launched the world’s first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week. Brands such as The Fabricant will present new clothing collections in the metaverse from March 24 to 27 during this digital fashion week.
Decentraland will hold a series of runway presentations, afterparties, and pop-up stores over the course of four days, with brands displaying digital clothing on avatars strolling down virtual catwalks.
The event is completely free and open to the public. Users just have to log onto Decentraland. During the fashion show, viewers will be able to scan a QR code to see a rendering of an item before purchasing it with NFTs from their crypto wallet. The user’s personal avatar can then wear the acquired NFTs.

Bored Ape Yacht Club Owner Yuga Labs Raises $450M Led by A16z
Yuga Labs has had a historic two weeks, concluding with the official announcement of the funding. On March 11, the firm purchased the intellectual property of its competitor, CryptoPunks, and on March 16, the ApeCoin, which is related to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, was released by proxy. According to CoinMarketCap data, ApeCoin is now the third-largest metaverse token by market capitalization.
Yuga Labs said it would use this fund to develop “Otherside,” an NFT-based, ApeCoin-powered gaming metaverse. Days before the fundraising announcement, the company shared a promo video for the project on Twitter.
