Quack AI surged 261% over the trailing 24 hours to trade near $0.2019 on 27 October 2026, lifting its circulating market capitalization to approximately $950 million as daily turnover exceeded $250 million. The move follows extreme intra-month volatility, rebounding from a sub-$0.06 low recorded on 25 October to retest its previous cycle high.
While this Quack AI (Q) price surge made the asset the leading gainer across artificial intelligence applications, the rally came without a project milestone, corporate disclosure, or exchange listing, arriving six days before a scheduled unlock that will release roughly 241.28 million tokens on 2 November.
Quack AI builds payment and governance tools for AI agents. It supports x402, a standard that lets AI agents pay for services automatically.
Catalyst Behind the Surge
No project announcement, exchange listing or upgrade has been identified as the cause of Q’s jump. CoinMarketCap’s AI summary attributes the move to social media attention and a rally across AI tokens, and lists Q as the top performer in the AI Applications category, which gained about 28% in market cap today.
Q’s October path was uneven. It traded between $0.02 and $0.03 in early October, reached a record near $0.20 on October 19 and fell below $0.06 in the six days after. On October 26 and 27, Q’s price climbed back to $0.20 in a single day.
Q’s Rally Ran on Futures Trading
Sources reported that during Q’s rally on October 18, futures trading volume was about 26 times spot trading volume. Open futures positions equaled about 64% of Q’s market cap. Traders betting on a falling price lost about $8.9 million to forced closures that day, against $2.3 million for traders betting on a rise.
AMBCrypto attributed the run to a short squeeze, which happens when traders who bet on a falling price are forced to buy back their positions as the price rises, pushing it higher still. The outlet noted that squeezes can reverse quickly. Equivalent futures data for October 27 was not available at the time of writing.
Wash Trading and Minting Claims About Q Coin
A Coincu report says an on-chain analysis flags about 78% of Q’s roughly $280 million in 24-hour volume as wash trading. Wash trading means the same parties trade with each other to inflate activity. The same analysis says two wallets holding about 1.74% of Q’s supply have been accumulating tokens for weeks, and that Q’s token contract allows new tokens to be created, which could increase supply.
These claims come from a single source and have not been independently confirmed.
What The November 2 Token Unlock Adds to Q’s Supply
The primary supply-side milestone approaching the Q crypto rally is a major vesting cliff scheduled for 2 November 2026. Approximately 241.28 million tokens will be unlocked and distributed into liquid circulation, representing roughly 5.1% of the current 4.71 billion circulating float.
At current valuations near $0.2019, the release injects roughly $48.7 million in newly tradeable tokens, compared to a valuation of just $13.5 million when measured at the 25 October price floor of $0.056. Because independent unlock trackers report varying estimates ranging from 226 million to 249 million tokens, and the foundation’s official documentation lacks itemized tranche disclosures for this specific date, the market faces potential absorption volatility as these allocations enter circulating supply.
Where Quack AI Stands After the Surge
As of October 27, Q trades at $0.2019 with no identified catalyst for the 261% jump. The next dated event for Q is the November 2 unlock of about 241 million tokens, and the exact amount remains unconfirmed.
