Popular NFT marketplace, Magic Eden, claims to have collaborated with the Trump Wallet, which was immediately taken down by Trump’s son Eric Trump. Despite the legal threat, the platform has not withdrawn the claim, which has kept the market participants in an extremely confused state.
Ever since Donald Trump favored Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, the entire space has become more hopeful of the prospects. Moreover, after the announcement of the crypto reserve and multiple decisions that backed the space, the markets also gained huge momentum. Furthermore, the launch of the TRUMP token, which was done by the president himself, created a wave of celebrity tokens and hence the latest rounds of the launch of Trump-based wallets also created ripples of bullish waves, which soon turned skeptical.

Magic Eden, a popular Solana-based NFT marketplace, shocked the world with a post claiming collaboration with the Trumps’ team and the launch of a Trump-branded wallet. This wallet has been dedicated to the real Trump fans and also offers a chance to win rewards. Meanwhile, the platform also claims the wallet to be legit as the marketplace after partnering with the GetTrumpMemes.com to create the first and only Trump wallet.

In no time, the market participants became hopeful of the upcoming price action, while Trump’s elder son, Eric Trump, in an X post clarified that neither he nor the Trump Organization is involved in the launch, which has severely confused the investors. Donald Trump Jr. said,
The Trump Organization has zero involvement with this wallet product. Eric and I know nothing about it. Stay tuned—World Liberty Financial, which we have been working tirelessly on, will be launching our official wallet soon.
With this, there seems to be complete chaos among the investors, which is also speculated to be a breakdown in communication between the various crypto-related Trump-linked businesses. Interestingly, GetTrumpMemes.com, which is assumed to have collaborated with Magin Eden, is owned by Fight Fight LLC, which is co-owned by a company affiliated with the Trump Organization called CIC Digital LLC. These two companies also hold a majority of the Trump token supply.
While the Magic Eden CEO, Jack Lu, has not talked about anything in person, he continues to support the claim by posting it on X. However, the official X account of the TrumpWalletApp has been taken down by X. Therefore, it would be pretty interesting to watch how this situation unfolds ahead, as the probability of a legal threat cannot be ruled out.
