            TLDR

Semiconductor stocks lit up Wall Street on Thursday. Intel closed at $109.76 up 8.62% on reports that SK Hynix is in talks to use the Ohio fab for U.S. memory production, alongside a cluster of analyst upgrades. Micron pushed close to $1,000 up 5.5% into its September 30 earnings print. AMD ripped near $545 up 6% ahead of planned 10% price hikes on AI accelerators. Alphabet cleared $350 overnight on fresh price target hikes from Tigress and Evercore. And in the biggest structural news for retail this week, the SEC granted a five-year Innovation Exemption for tokenized U.S. stocks. Robinhood closed up 4.67%. Meta stock is up around 10% since the Muse AI agent launched on September 8, and Muse just hit number one on the U.S. App Store.

            Market Regime

The tape is running two setups at once. The memory supercycle has taken over as the loudest story on the semiconductor complex. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said this week that memory production capacity is very limited and will get worse next year. AMD is raising AI accelerator prices around 10%. SK Hynix is in preliminary talks to use Intel Ohio fab for U.S. memory production. Micron reports fiscal Q4 earnings on September 30, and that guide is now the single biggest sector event of the month.

Underneath the semiconductor story, U.S. mega-cap AI monetization is finally showing up on the tape. Meta Muse agent hit number one on the U.S. App Store, with daily downloads reportedly higher than Threads, WhatsApp, and Facebook. Alphabet cleared $350 on fresh analyst price target hikes tied to Gemini adoption. And the SEC Innovation Exemption for tokenized stocks reshapes the medium-term picture for onchain U.S. equity, which validates the direction of travel for anyone already trading U.S. futures in INR on CoinDCX Global Futures.

            Bullish Factors

            • Memory shortage now confirmed from the supply side. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said production capacity is very limited and will get worse through 2027. SK Hynix has said DRAM supply and demand will not rebalance until 2030.
            • Pricing power is back across the semi complex. AMD is raising AI chip prices around 10%. Intel is raising PC CPU prices around 10% in early October. Wedbush flagged Intel Arc Pro B70 workstation GPU up 48% in a month.
            • Analyst upgrades stacking on the same names. Tigress lifted Intel PT to $145 from $118. Northland moved Intel to Outperform with $120 target. Tigress lifted Alphabet PT to $485 from $415. Evercore lifted Alphabet PT to $450. Citi lifted Meta PT to $800 and added a 90-day catalyst watch.
            • SEC cleared the regulatory path for onchain U.S. stock trading. The Innovation Exemption is a five-year framework that retail brokerages, crypto exchanges, and DeFi venues have been waiting on.
            • Meta Muse hit number one on the U.S. App Store with daily downloads reportedly higher than Threads, WhatsApp, and Facebook. Meta stock has run 10% since the September 8 launch.

            Bearish Factors

            • AI boom is now widely priced in. Reports flagged that observers are worried the AI story is already reflected in prices, which opens the door to sharper volatility on any disappointment.
            • Intel still runs on a forward P/E near 72. Analyst target range is very wide, from $75 on the bear side to $200 on the bull side. Morgan Stanley sits at $84 equal weight, below where the stock trades.
            • Micron guidance risk on September 30. Memory prices cannot keep rising at the current pace forever. Any softness in Micron forward tone could take the whole sector down together.
            • Tokenization conditions are strict. Venues must be U.S. based, follow OFAC, and keep volume limits. Some existing offshore synthetic token products fall outside the framework and may need to change.
            • Rate path still uncertain. The FOMC decision from Wednesday is still filtering through fixed income. Any hawkish repricing could pressure the multiple on richly valued AI names.

            Asian Markets This Morning

Nikkei and Kospi are trading firm heading into today Bank of Japan decision at 8:15 AM IST. Market implied probability of a 25 basis point BoJ hike is around 63%. A hike would pressure yen carry positions and could ripple through AI supply chain names like SK Hynix, Samsung, and TSMC. Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite are steady into the U.S. open. The Kospi has been the sharpest memory-linked play all summer, and any SK Hynix headline connected to the Intel Ohio fab talks will move it directly.

            What Moved Wall Street Today

Intel closed at $109.76 up 8.62% on its biggest single-day move in weeks after reports that SK Hynix is in talks to use Intel Ohio fab for U.S. memory production. The move was reinforced by Tigress raising Intel price target to $145 from $118 and Northland moving Intel to Outperform with a $120 target. Micron closed at $977.50 up 5.5%, around $22 from a four-digit handle. AMD closed near $545 up 6% on planned 10% price hikes for AI accelerators and GPUs in early October. Alphabet closed at $347.33 up 1.3%, then pushed to $351 overnight after Tigress Financial lifted its price target to $485 from $415 and Evercore raised its target to $450. Robinhood closed at $109.30 up 4.67% after the SEC granted a five-year Innovation Exemption for Tokenized Securities Venues. Coinbase closed up around 4% on the same news. Meta traded around $682 into Thursday and edged higher premarket as Muse hit the top of the U.S. App Store.

            Assets in Focus

            INTC (Intel)

Intel is the day hero mover. The stock is up around 140% year to date and still 19% off the 52-week high of $142.35. Q2 2026 revenue was $16.13 billion, up 25.4% year on year, above the $14.43 billion consensus. Analyst range remains very wide from $75 to $200. Q3 earnings drop late October and that is the next big test. INTC is available on CoinDCX Global Futures.

            MU (Micron)

Micron is the memory anchor into a September 30 fiscal Q4 earnings print. Fiscal Q3 delivered $41.46 billion in revenue with 84.9% adjusted gross margin. Cloud memory and core data center were around 61% of total revenue. TrendForce expects PC DRAM prices up 18% to 23% quarter on quarter in Q3. Guidance and forward commentary matter more than the print itself. Retail traders can track memory-cycle exposure via the DRAM index on CoinDCX Global Futures.

            AMD (Advanced Micro Devices)

AMD is riding both the memory story and the AI accelerator story. Q2 2026 revenue was $11.54 billion up 50.1%, with 56% gross margins. Planned 10% price hikes on AI accelerators and GPUs land in early October. AMD is on CoinDCX Global Futures.

            GOOGL (Alphabet)

Alphabet is the day mega-cap AI winner. GOOGL cleared $350 for the first time on Tigress and Evercore price target hikes. Tigress moved to $485 from $415, keeps Strong Buy. The Tigress case is Gemini at 950 million monthly users, 9 million active developers, and around 22 billion API tokens processed per minute. A court ruling this week eased fears of an ad-tech breakup. GOOGL is on CoinDCX Global Futures.

            HOOD (Robinhood)

Robinhood is the direct proxy for the SEC tokenization ruling. The Innovation Exemption is a five-year framework for Tokenized Securities Venues. Robinhood is moving to a 1:1 redeemable model and adding voting rights to fit the framework. Coinbase reacted similarly on the same news. The category direction of travel is validation for onchain U.S. equity trading.

            META (Meta Platforms)

Meta stock is up around 10% since Muse launched on September 8, though it is still underperforming the S&P 500 year to date at around 3.4% up. Muse hit number one on the U.S. App Store with daily downloads reportedly higher than Threads, WhatsApp, and Facebook. Citi raised its price target to $800 with a 90-day catalyst watch. Goldman Sachs is at $725. Meta Connect is the next event on the calendar. META is on CoinDCX Global Futures.

            Index Levels to Watch

S&P 500 is testing the pre-Fed decision zone. A close back below recent range lows would take some of the shine off the tech rally.

Nasdaq 100 is being carried by memory and mega-cap AI names. Any hesitation in Nvidia, Micron, or Alphabet will be felt at the index level.

Kospi watch centers on the BoJ decision reaction and any SK Hynix headlines tied to the Intel Ohio fab talks.

Nikkei 225 is running with yen carry positioning as the key overlay. A BoJ hike is around 63% priced.

            Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Why is Intel stock up so much today?

Intel jumped around 8.62% on reports that SK Hynix is in talks to use Intel Ohio fab for U.S. memory production, plus Tigress raising its price target to $145 from $118 and Northland moving to Outperform with a $120 target. Combined with the broader memory shortage narrative and planned Intel PC CPU price hikes in October, these catalysts stacked into a large single-day move.

Q2. What is the SEC Innovation Exemption for tokenized stocks?

The SEC granted a five-year Innovation Exemption for Tokenized Securities Venues on September 17, 2026. It allows onchain trading of U.S. stocks with instant settlement, 24/7 hours, and fractional ownership. Venues must give issuers 30 days notice, and issuers can object within that window. Robinhood and Coinbase are the two most direct listed proxies.

            Q3. What is Meta Muse?

Muse is Meta personal AI agent that launched September 8, 2026, in the U.S. It executes tasks across email, calendar, payments, and connected apps rather than just answering questions. Muse hit number one on the U.S. App Store this week, and Meta stock is up around 10% since launch. Pricing tiers are free, $20 per month, and $100 per month.

Q4. When does Micron report earnings?

Micron reports fiscal Q4 2026 earnings on September 30, 2026. This is the single biggest catalyst for the memory basket over the next two weeks. Forward guidance from Micron will drive the whole semi complex in either direction.

Q5. What is the BoJ decision today?

The Bank of Japan announces its interest rate decision at 11:45 AM JST, which is 8:15 AM IST. Market implied probability of a 25 basis point hike is around 63%. A hike would pressure yen carry positions and could ripple through Asian tech and AI supply chain names including SK Hynix and Samsung.
