Grove jumped to $0.01185 on Monday after Mantle opened its vault product to anyone holding stablecoins, using Grove as the layer that generates the yield. The gain did not last. GROVE now trades at $0.008578, roughly 28% below that high and up just 1.7% over 24 hours, leaving the announcement without a lasting price effect.
GROVE Spikes and Fades Within a Day
GROVE trades at $0.008578 with a market value of $5.89 million, having ranged between $0.00839 and $0.01185 over 24 hours. The spike came late on Monday afternoon and unwound steadily through Tuesday, leaving the token barely changed on the day despite the swing.
GROVE recorded its all-time low of $0.007267 on 19 August, so it sits about 18% above that floor, and it remains roughly 81% below the record high of $0.04463 it reached on 6 July. Trading volume of $1.16 million is thin for a token of any size.
What the Mantle Vault DeFi Expansion Involves
Mantle announced on 25 August that its vault product is moving beyond the centralised exchange where it launched, into DeFi, built with Grove infrastructure and CIAN and reachable through Fluxion. The existing version has already passed $200 million in assets under management.
The new product is simpler than it sounds. Anyone holding USDC or USDT0 on Mantle can deposit them and earn a variable yield, without needing the exchange account or minimum balances that gated the original. Mantle describes the strategy as conservative and non-leveraged, with visibility into what sits underneath.
The wider context is Mantle’s push into real-world assets, where its total value locked has grown from $22 million to $257 million over the past year, with DeFi deposits across the network above $755 million.
What Grove Provides Inside the Vault
Through Grove Savings, deposits reach the Sky Savings Rate, a rate set by Sky governance and delivered by a network of independent capital allocators competing across approved yield strategies.
In simple terms, a stablecoin holder deposits and Grove routes that money into institutional-grade lending and credit strategies that ordinary users could not otherwise access. CIAN packages it into a single non-custodial product, meaning users keep control of their funds, and Fluxion provides the liquidity layer on Mantle.
Grove co-founder Kevin Chan said partners like Mantle, CIAN and Fluxion help make institutional-grade on-chain strategies available to more users. Grove separately became a strategic stakeholder in the Centrifuge ecosystem this week through a 37.8 million CFG token purchase.

Why the 5.14 Million GROVE Incentive Is Smaller Than It Sounds
Mantle is running an incentive programme of 5.14 million GROVE tokens, targeting a yield of up to 6.5% a year for depositors. The company states plainly that terms, duration and rates may vary with market conditions and that the incentives are not guaranteed.
At the current price those 5.14 million tokens are worth about $44,000, and they represent roughly 0.05% of the ten billion total supply. The programme is a marketing cost rather than a meaningful transfer of value, which helps explain why the price reaction proved so short-lived.
What the GROVE Chart Shows After the Fade
The technical picture is weak rather than recovering. GROVE trades about 2.7% below its 20-day moving average and roughly 26% below its 50-day, so buyers have not reclaimed either level. Its relative strength index sits at 40, below the midpoint of 50 that separates strength from weakness.

What This Means for GROVE Holders
Only 687 million of ten billion GROVE are in circulation, about 7% of the total, so the fully diluted valuation of $85.77 million sits far above the $5.89 million market value. Tokens still to be released will need buyers.
On usage rather than price, the measure that matters is whether deposits into the new vault actually grow. Grove earns fees when its infrastructure is used, and a product reaching stablecoin holders directly is a larger addressable base than an exchange product. Whether that converts into deposits will show up in revenue over the coming weeks rather than in a single day’s price move.
