Ondo Finance says its tokenized equities platform has passed $1.01 billion in total value locked, less than a year after launching. The company reported $27 billion in cumulative trading volume and a holder base that grew 20% in the past month. The ONDO price today sits near $0.33, little changed on the day and down about 6% over the week, which is the gap this report leaves unexplained.

Ondo Stocks Passes $1B in Tokenized Equities
Ondo Stocks now holds $1.01 billion in total value locked across more than 440 tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds, having launched in September 2025. Each token is backed by the matching share or fund, held with licensed US custodial broker-dealers, so the token is a claim on a real security rather than a synthetic copy of its price.
The platform is not open to everyone. Ondo Stocks is offered to eligible non-US persons only, and the company’s separate OUSG product is restricted to accredited investors and qualified purchasers.
What $27B in Volume Says About Liquidity
The more revealing figure is turnover. Ondo Stocks has processed $27 billion in cumulative volume across centralised venues, decentralised exchanges and direct minting since launch, which is roughly 26 times the value currently held on the platform.
That ratio addresses the criticism that has followed tokenized assets for years, namely that they attract deposits but rarely trade. Assets turning over 26 times their own value are being used, not parked. Tokenized versions of these equities have traded $18 billion across major exchanges, with about $206 million held on those venues at present.
Ondo Perps and USDY Widen the Ecosystem
Ondo Perps, a perpetual futures venue launched in July, has cleared $8 billion in cumulative volume with more than $5 billion of that in the trailing 30 days. The company notes that its strongest sessions, above $350 million, came in the most recent week rather than at launch, which is the opposite of the usual pattern for a new venue.
USDY, a token backed by short-term US Treasuries and bank deposits, has reached $2.15 billion in total asset value with a seven-day yield of 3.49%, and now runs across twelve networks led by Ethereum at $1.1 billion. Across the whole ecosystem, holders reached 200,645, up 20% in 30 days.
Why the ONDO Price Has Not Tracked the Growth
ONDO trades near $0.33, roughly flat over 24 hours and down about 6% across the week, with a market value near $1.6 billion. It remains close to 85% below the record high of $2.14 it reached in December 2024.
The explanation is structural rather than sentimental. ONDO is a governance token, giving holders a vote over the Ondo DAO and the Flux Finance protocol. The token does not entitle anyone to the fees Ondo Stocks or Ondo Perps generate, so platform growth and token price are only loosely connected.
It is worth noting too that every figure here comes from the company itself rather than an independent audit. The numbers are specific and checkable in part on-chain, but they are the company’s own account of its performance.
What Ondo Investors Should Watch Next
The first thing to follow is whether governance moves to connect platform revenue to the token, since that is the single change that would tie ONDO’s value to the growth being reported. Nothing of the sort has been announced.
Beyond that, watch whether holder growth keeps its pace once the launch phase passes, and whether Ondo Perps volumes hold above the levels reached in the past month. For anyone tracking blockchain tokenization more broadly, this remains the largest live test of whether tokenized equities can sustain real trading.

FAQs
1. What are Ondo Stocks?
Ondo Stocks is a platform offering tokenized versions of more than 440 US stocks and exchange-traded funds. Each token is backed by the underlying share held with a licensed US custodial broker-dealer, and it is available to eligible non-US persons only.
2. What is the ONDO price today?
ONDO trades near $0.33, roughly flat over 24 hours and down about 6% across the week, giving it a market value near $1.6 billion. Figures vary slightly between data providers.
3. Does Ondo Stocks growth benefit ONDO token holders?
Ondo Stocks growth does not directly benefit token holders. ONDO is a governance token that carries voting rights over the Ondo DAO and Flux Finance, and it does not entitle holders to platform fees. That is why the token price and platform growth can move apart.
4. How are tokenized stocks different from owning shares?
A tokenized stock is a blockchain record of a share held by a custodian, which allows trading outside normal market hours. Holders do not get the same direct legal ownership or shareholder rights that come with buying a share through a broker.
