Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has reclaimed its top position in the 24-hour count of new token launches, narrowly surpassing rival platform LetsBonk.fun. Dune-user Adam_Tehc has recorded a daily launch of 16,208 PumpFun Tokens, which shows a clear lead against the 11,255 LetsBonk Tokens. A similar lead can also be seen in PumpFun’s daily trading volume of $499.59 million and LetsBonk’s $2.31M.

The resurgence comes amid renewed momentum for Pump.fun’s native token, PUMP, which seems to be a key driving factor. Last month, the platform’s initial coin offering for PUMP raised $600 million in mere 12 minutes. Although the token’s price declined in the following week, on-chain data indicates that Pump.fun has since initiated a multimillion-dollar buyback of PUMP.
Pump.fun, a significant force in last year’s memecoin boom, had recently been overtaken by LetsBonk, a launchpad backed by the Bonk community and integrated with Raydium’s LaunchLab. The latest figures suggest Pump.fun is regaining momentum, with its latest push restoring its lead in new token launches over the past day.
Note that Pump.fun is currently trading at $0.003470, which, even though significantly lower than its all-time high price, indicates a 40.52% increase in the past week.
