The Sandbox announced $50million fund for its startup accelerator program
The virtual world project, The Sandbox recently announced its metaverse accelerator program that shall push the development of the open metaverse. The company is willing to invest $50 million in those startups. The subsidiary of Animoca Brands is partnering with the venture accelerator firm Brinc with a target to support 30 to 40 blockchain-based startups within a year. Each potential project shall receive $250,000 as an investment while the top-performing projects shall also receive incentives.
The bonus includes LAND, digital real estate within the Sandbox metaverse, and SAND digital asset. High-profile mentors shall be present to assist the high-performing startups.

Reddit to soon add NFT based profile pictures
According to reports, Reddit is testing a feature that shall allow users to set the images attached to NFTs as their profile picture. According to the company’s spokesperson, this feature is being internally tested and it is already sem-public. This news comes after Twitter announced a similar feature on its platform the previous week.
This feature will let users just not use the non-fungible tokens as profile pictures (Avatars) but would also verify the ownership. Reddit is still discussing whether to provide this feature widely to the users and is being tested internally.
