Binance Takes $200 Million Stake In Forbes 

As Forbes pursues a merger with Magnum Opus to go public on the New York Stock Exchange and use the cash to drive its digital growth, Binance invested $200 million in the company and became one of the two big investors of the company.

While industry experts fear that this will allow Binance to direct its narratives on the magazine, Changpeng Zhao, founder, and CEO of Binance said that Forbes’ editorial independence is too valuable to be interfered with and that the move was made to utilize Forbes as an essential media channel for building widespread consumer understanding and education on Web 3 and blockchain technologies.

NFTs Minted To Save The Amazon Rainforest

Approximately 735 million trees in the Amazon have been conserved through internationally certified and audited projects by the Brazilian Climate Company, Moss. To strive harder towards their mission, they have now created NFT tokens that represent ACTUAL proof of ownership over one hectare of the Rainforest land. 

These NFTs are called ‘Moss Amazon NFT’ and will allow everyone with an interest in the Amazon jungle to participate in its conservation. Moss has established a 30-year preservation fund and will be in charge of conservation. 20% of earnings from the selling of NFTs will be used to cover costs such as patrolling, satellite photography, and area security.

The tokens were released on the OpenSea platform for a pre-sale round earlier this week, and were sold out in just an hour!

Digital Euro Bill To Come In Early 2023

Last year, the European Central Bank (ECB) conducted research on digital currencies and discovered that a digital euro could help reduce interest rates, speed up transaction processes, and reduce the need for printing cash.

Following this, the European Central Bank (ECB) has been experimenting with various designs and technologies for the digital euro, with a prototype expected in late 2023. The consent of Eurozone governors is required if a digital euro is to be introduced. And if they give their approval, the digital euro may be in circulation by 2025.
