Instagram CEO announces that they are “actively exploring” NFT integration
The social media giant, Instagram expand its horizon by actively participating in non-fungible token (NFT) integration. According to the CEO of the company, Adam Mosseri, the platform is actively looking into the sector of NFTs and ways it can make it accessible to the burgeoning user base. Mosseri made this announcement in an Instagram Q&A session over the weekend. Although there is no official announcement yet things seem to be happening behind the scenes.
The idea is to help content creators explore more and help them out with the NFT sector. One idea is to label the posts that offer NFTs as collectibles.

Alibaba also joins in the Metaverse party by creating a new unit for metaverse gaming
Every big brand is jumping into the Metaverse bandwagon and the latest addition to this list is the Alibaba Group Holding. This Chinese multinational tech giant has reportedly built its gaming unit to explore the potential these metaverse games have. This came in a month later the company launched its Metaverse exhibition.
The name of the gaming unit has been given after the Chinese name of “Yuanjing Shengsheng” which means the former universe. This shows how intended Alibaba is to join the metaverse. The metaverse space is slowly turning into the playground of great institutional giants such as Meta, Adidas, Nike, and now Alibaba.

Adidas drops its first Ethereum NFT that tops the charts by $23 million
Will you believe it if we said that Adidas made a whopping amount of $23.4 million in a single afternoon? Well, you must believe it because it actually happened. With Adidas’s debut NFT “Into the Metaverse” it made this much amount of money in a single afternoon. The collection’s sale over the last 24 hours helped it reach the leaderboard as the hottest NFT project in the world.
This NFT drop was a collaboration between Bored Ape Yacht Club, private NFT collector gmoney, and PUNKS comic NFT creator Pixel Vault. These plans were first revealed by Adidas at the beginning of December when it claimed its hand on Bored Ape and laid out the plans for Adidas apparel.
